Fellers Snider Announces Three New Associates

Fellers Snider Law Firm is pleased to announce that three new associates have joined the Oklahoma City office: Kyle D. Evans, Whitney A. Walstad and Michael S. Young, MD, MSBME.

KYLE D. EVANS - Mr. Evans practices in the area of civil litigation. Prior to joining Fellers Snider Law Firm, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable James H. Payne of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a B.S. in 2005 and the University of Oklahoma College of Law with a J.D. (with honors) in 2008. Mr. Evans was an Assistant Note Editor for the Oklahoma Law Review from 2007 to 2008. He is admitted to the Oklahoma Bar, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma. Mr. Evans is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA) and the Oklahoma Bar Association (OBA).

WHITNEY A. WALSTAD - Ms. Walstad practices primarily in the area of civil litigation. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a B.B.A in Finance and Marketing, magna cum laude, in 2005. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Law with a J.D. (with honors) in 2009. Ms. Walstad is admitted to the Oklahoma Bar. She is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA), the Oklahoma Bar Association (OBA) and the Oklahoma Bar Foundation. Ms. Walstad was a Note Editor for the American Indian Law Review from 2008-2009. She received the American Jurisprudence Award in Legal Research & Writing I in 2006 and voted Outstanding 2L Member, American Indian Law Review in 2008.

MICHAEL S. YOUNG, MD, MSBME - Dr. Young is a registered U.S. patent attorney practicing intellectual property law with particular emphasis on patent prosecution and licensing of medical and surgical devices, and biotechnology. He has a JD from Creighton University. Prior to law school, Dr. Young earned both a BS and MS in biomedical engineering from Boston University. He then graduated from Boston University School of Medicine and completed residency in neurology and fellowships in electromyography, neurorehabilitation and motor control. He is a former assistant professor in neurology at the University of Oklahoma, as well as a successful private practice physician. Dr. Young used his engineering background in implementing basic science research projects at the University of Florida, Gainesville, and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Boston. Dr. Young has published research on transcranial magnetic stimulation. He is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA), Oklahoma Bar Association (OBA), American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA), IEEE-Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (IEEE-EMBS) and the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM). Dr. Young was admitted to the Oklahoma Bar and in the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma in 2009.
