Fellers Snider Expands Biotech IP Practice

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA (December 18, 2009) – Fellers Snider law firm has expanded its Biotech Intellectual Property practice by welcoming Michael S. Young, MD, JD, MSBME to the IP team. 

Michael S. Young, MD, JD, MSBME is a registered U.S. patent attorney practicing intellectual property law with particular emphasis on patent prosecution and licensing of medical and surgical devices, and biotechnology. He has a JD from Creighton University. Prior to law school, Dr. Young earned both a BS and MS in biomedical engineering from Boston University.
He then graduated from Boston University School of Medicine and completed residency in neurology and fellowships in electromyography, neurorehabilitation and motor control.
Dr. Young is a former assistant professor in neurology at the University of Oklahoma, as well as a successful private practice physician. He used his engineering background in implementing basic science research projects at the University of Florida, Gainesville and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Boston. Dr. Young has published research on transcranial magnetic stimulation and various human nervous system disorders.
